Support around the machine

Most of what determines whether a machine reaches its design life happens after it leaves the works: how it is installed, how it is aligned, how it is lubricated and — on Ex equipment — how it is repaired.

Application engineering

Review of duty, environment and interface requirements before an order is placed, including torque and starting studies against the driven equipment.

  • Duty and load verification against the driven machine
  • Starting and acceleration studies on weak supplies
  • Hazardous-area suitability review against the classification drawing
  • Interface and dimensional review for replacement work

Commissioning and site support

Attendance at installation and commissioning, including alignment checks, insulation testing and first-run supervision.

  • Pre-installation inspection after transport and storage
  • Alignment and coupling supervision
  • Insulation resistance and polarisation index testing
  • First-run supervision and vibration baseline

Spare parts and consumables

Bearings, winding sets, terminal-box components and exciter assemblies for machines in service, including legacy series.

  • Bearing and seal kits by machine serial number
  • Rewind and rotor repair
  • Exciter and rotating rectifier assemblies
  • Certified spares for Ex machines from an approved repair route

Witness testing

Factory acceptance testing to IEC 60034-2-1 with customer or third-party attendance, in the works test bay.

  • Routine tests to IEC 60034-1
  • Type tests including temperature rise and efficiency determination
  • Customer and third-party witness attendance
  • Test certificates issued per machine serial number

Maintenance training

Operator and maintenance training on installation, alignment, lubrication and — for Ex machines — the repair limits that preserve certification.

  • Installation and alignment practice
  • Lubrication regimes and regreasing intervals
  • Condition monitoring interpretation
  • Ex repair limits and certified repair routes
