Custom and Replacement Machines
Engineered-to-order machines and drop-in replacements for units whose original manufacturer no longer supports them, built to the existing foundation, shaft height and coupling.

A significant share of Electromash's work starts with a nameplate photograph and a plant that cannot be shut down for civil work. The requirement is rarely a better machine — it is the same machine, available now, that bolts onto what is already there.
The constraints are mechanical before they are electrical: foundation bolt pattern, shaft height and diameter, coupling type, terminal box position, cable entry direction and the space envelope in the existing building.
Electromash also builds machines that do not exist as a standard product — inductor machines, special-frequency units, and drives for test benches.
Key characteristics
Built to the existing interface
Foundation, shaft and coupling dimensions held to the original machine so no civil or alignment work is needed.
Reverse engineering from a nameplate
A nameplate photograph and dimensional survey are usually enough to open a technical dialogue.
Legacy series supported
Machines from the former-Soviet AIR, VAO, 4A, SDN and STD series are regularly rebuilt or replaced.
Single-unit production
There is no minimum quantity. One machine is a normal order.
Construction
- Design reviewed against the original dimensional drawing where available
- Modern insulation system and bearing arrangement in the legacy envelope
- Efficiency improved where the envelope allows, without changing interfaces
- Nameplate reproducing both the new and superseded designation
Available configurations
- Drop-in replacement to existing foundation
- Uprated replacement within the original envelope
- Special-frequency and inductor machines
- Test-bench and laboratory drives
- Single-unit and small-batch production
Monitoring options
- Instrumentation specified to match the existing plant control system
- Sensor types and terminal numbering matched to the machine being replaced
Principal applications
- PumpsCentrifugal, screw, piston and vertical turbine pumps
- Fans and VentilationCentrifugal and axial fans, mine main and booster fans
- CompressorsReciprocating, screw and centrifugal compressors
- ConveyorsBelt, apron, screw and chain conveyors
- Mills and CrushersBall, SAG and rod mills, jaw, cone and impact crushers
- Hoists and ElevatorsMine winders, cranes, hoists and lifts
